i want to get a degree in the field of archaeology or similar. i just moved to san diego and i am unsure what scool would be the best. maybe i should move elsewhere? i just need to know the best school in the US for this type of degree.

San Diego university has a graduate program in archeology
but check some others in your new "neighborhood", also

Go to a large newstand, maybe Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc., and buy as many archaeology magazines as you can find.
Read the magazines.
When you have read the magazines, write a letter to the Editor of EACH magazine. State that you want to major in archaeology, but you're having trouble making a decision on which school is best for you. Ask if they can recommend a school. Ask what you should look for when considering schools, and making on-campus visits.
I am sure the magazine editors will be delighted to help you with making a decision.
