Higher Education (University +) - July 2006

I am really interested in going back to school. It is inevitable, a college education is minimally required for most decent jobs, especially in CA. I work full time. I make $24/hr doing a very tedious and stressful job. I cry almost everyday when it is time to go to work. I can not see myself doing this job too much longer. I am considering quitting and sacrificing the highest paying job I have ever had in order to further my education. (deferred gratification) I just do not know the first thing about how I will finance my education. Unfortunately I have no savings. I am single , no children or major responsiblities. I could relocate if necessary. My goal is to pursue my education FULL time. Can anyone suggest the best route to take for obtaining the information I need. And now, the "stupid question"....Is it necessary that I get a job at all while going to college, or can I live like some students out of high school, off of loans and scholarships? Is cost of living included ?

Should I go a head and take the compass test if I've decided to wait until next year to go to college?
My husband has proved he can't keep the kids out of my hair for even a hour a day so there is no way I could get any school work done, so I've decided to wait until next year to go to college.

I want to be behind ideas such as DVD players, Bluray, High definition televisions, electronic hardware in general. What major would you take to become behind such ideas. I believe its engineering, but I'm not sure. My previous idea for a major was computer science, anythoughts on which is better is greatly appreciated.

I think that Affirmative action is a step in the wrong direction when dealing with universitites... a person's race should have nothing to do with whether or not they get into a university... in fact I think it should all be based on academic merit with some emphasis on extra-curriculars... but not too much because there are the people who go for the titles and do none of the work... just to get into college... thoughts?

The school is in Arizona and I am in New York. They charged me with plagiarism although I did all the work myself and didn't use anyone elses work! Ihad a grade average of A. That was my average before this charge! If I plagiarised anyone's work, would't it have showed up in my other work?
I am so pissed off right now!
