Im a third year college student, and I am thinking about moving out of my house where I currently live with my parents and into an apartment with roomates. However, I dont even know where to start. What are some steps I will need to take in order to prepare to move out and how do I go about finding a place? How much money should I save before moving? I dont plan to move for at least another 6 to 12 months.

I got side tracked after getting married. This will be the first time I would be stepping into a college class. I am confused about 2 things.

1. Sould I go back after such a long time? I mean I feel like my kids future comes first and I need to save money for thier college.

2. If I go should I choose something crazy liike acting and theater which I have never done or do something along my lines, like compputer 3d programming. I am a computer programmer for the last 10 years makin $80,000 without a degree. do something safe or wild?

Alright, well here's the rundown. I took a mathematics placement test for college and I got my results back. It was a letter from the dean of mathematics at the uni, saying that I scored well enough on the placement test to consider a major in mathematics. Well, while I've got my major picked out, I was thinking... what about a math minor?

See, I'm going to become a high-school science teacher. Eventually, maybe, I'd like to go into physics - in particular, particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. I can't help but feel that perhaps a mathematics minor would help greatly in this. Besides, even if I decide to stay in high school science, I'm sure a math minor would help out.

The catch - I didn't do well in high-school math class. I mean, I can (obviously) do the math, I just didn't want to. Sitting in math class, using numbers to get more numbers bored me. The math of calculus and physics, however, interests me.

Does anyone have any good advice?

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, the answer is emphatically "yes." For the sake of "saving diversity" and "preserving unity," many have gone over the line between respectful speech/cultural tolerance and totally disregarding the truth, fact, and objectivity for the sake of said diversity. Check out something one of my close friends discovered at his college -- a supposedly conservative college, no less: www.questionthecollege.blogspot.com.
I can understand the reluctance of the school's overseers to respond to the authors (because of anonymity), but the violations of this Diversity speaker go FAR beyond any acceptable limits. Plagiarized work was apparently presented to the entire student body and yet the college makes no attempt to reprimand the speaker nor correct the errors. There are many other incidents like this occurring in colleges/universities across the countries, but I was surprised to find one so obvious where the factual arguments presented were so completely ignored. Thoughts?

For the past 2 years I have been attending Bowie State, a college that I absolutely hate. I am also enrolled for fall 2006, but I did not reapply for housing, so there will probably not be any space available for me on campus, and the apartments in that area are are so expensive that is not even an option for me. So unless I can get in a dorm on campus then I will have nowhere at all to stay. There is also no cable in the dorms. And I fell like I have to avoid the band because I was in it for awhile then I quit without telling anyone because I found that I did not have the time to dedicate to it. And I find it so hard to trust people there, so I just keep to myself and do my own thing and generally don't even speak unless necessary. I don't care that I hate the college, and the things I do do not bother me. Sure I do wish I was in a college I liked, but the fact that I am not does not bother me. But I just wonder if I should even be there if I don't like it, even if I don't mind it.
