in jan. my GPA was a 3.0 but my overall GPA is a 2.6 which is stupid. Since I took summer courses this year, my GPA is a 4.0. So my overall GPA will go up. LET me tell you a secret, having a high GPA is based on your major. If you major in Social sciences or humanities, you can do well and easily earn a 3.0 or 4.0. If you major in nursing like I did before or in medicine, well this is a different story because you can best believe that you have GPAs ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 and 3.0 but these majors are very hard. Oh another thing, some people may not answer questions well, but when it comes to writing papers and doing projects, they do well.

My undergrad GPA was 3.9, thanks to a C in Organic Chemistry!! Anyway, I've learned both from being a studend and a teacher that there's not always a correlation between GPA and intelligence. I've had students who may be good at memorizing, or maybe they work really, really hard but in the end, they don't truly understand the course material.
Having said that, people lie alot about their GPAs, so there's always that possibility.... *smile*

properly, i think of three.0 and above it good. the rationalization why i'm asserting this is: maximum scholarships for masters scholars require that to made 3.0 or extra clever even before bothering to prepare interior the 1st place.l i'm in my 2d semester(1st twelve months) interpreting BSc Agriculture. 6 out of seven of ultimate semester's classes effect are out and that's around 2.fifty seven. i decide for to push harder and make extra clever than 3.0 interior the destiny.

3.9 But that doesn't mean that the people in your classes are that high. As long as you do the work and get halfway decent marks on it, you do well. Oh and to be technical...Mine is a 3.98, I got a very high B ONCE.

My undergraduate GPA was 3.8
My graduate GPA was 4.0
My law school GPA was 3.75
I scored at least the 95th percentile on every major standardized test (SAT, LSAT, GMAT, MCAT).
NONE of it matters now.
