Since it has to do with counselling, I would think you would need a master's (at least if not PhD) in psychology, specializing in that area. There are laws about giving certain kinds of advice - you need a licence.

I don't think Dr. Sue has a graduate psych degree, however she is a medical professional (nurse) so maybe that is why it's ok (she is giving out medical advice).

Is there such a thing as sex therapist? I am studying in Social Work and have never heard of such a thing, maybe a marital therpist. Just wondering...................I would assume the qualifications would be the same in the USA, as in Canada.
