I have DISH Network and they told me to pick up an off air antenna but I'm not picking up the local channels in HD. Anyone familiar with how I can fix this seemingly simple problem? I had COX and got all locals in HD.

I think I would have to pay a subscription (to the cable or Direct TV place) but do they provide the actual box that does the job or do I have to buy that? How much is typical to pay for the box and can I set it up myself or do they have to do it? And will my cable bill go up on top of the connection for the recorder thing? (I do not use digital now and do not know if my hookup will have to be upgraded to digital along with everything else or does it work on basic cable too?)

Whenever I try to record something on TV, I turn on the VCR and it immediately makes the picture on the TV blurry so when I record, the video isn't clear. How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.

I've currently got the HD20 DirectTV receiver. If I want to go to Best Buy or similar store and buy the DirectTV HD-DVR Receiver will I be able to take it home and install/activate it? Or will I need a technician to come out and do it? On a scale of 1 - 10 on the tecno scale I'm a 7.

Thanks!
