I have been researching GPS systems now for about a week or so and I have changed my mind a dozen times from TomTom One XL to Megellan Roadmate 3000T or 2000, and to Megellan Maestro 4050.... Im just not sure what I want. Here is what I want it to do for me:

*directions to places (of course).
*lotts of POI's (points of interest)---I wanna drive down a HWY, press a button and get tourist attractions in the nearby area.
*good satalite service (ive heard there are two--I want the best)
*easy to use
*pluggable into a cigaret lighter spot for power & charge
*large viewable screen (4inch +)
*touch screen
*under $500.00 in cost.

Can you help me figure out what would be best for what I want?

Went to buy a DLP TV, surround sound, and tv stand. Got the worst customer service I've ever seen. It started by being ignored for 45 minutes while I stood in front of the big screen DLPs. I left and bought somewhere else.

I came back 4 hours later to buy a surround sound system (I had a $40 coupon is why I came back). Found the system I wanted, waited about 20 minutes and no one would help. I happened to see two of the system's I wanted setting in their box on the floor with a sign that had a reduced price. Loaded up the SS and tried to pay. Of course it rang up different than what the sign had listed. They're so called customer service said the reduced price was for open box and that mine was not open box. I asked then why was it on the floor with a sign. No answer. I finally got a manager and explained the situation (about being ignored the first time and the problem with the price). He didn't even seem to care! Want to report him and his sorry store.

I wanted to build a computer system that would handle the most demanding games, graphics and animation software around. I have been out of touch with new development in the computer field and was told that core 2 duo processors are almost twcie as fast as normal processors. Does that mean that , for instance, a 2.3 GHZ Core2 Duo processor is faster than a 3 GHZ processors that isn't core 2?(older types)?

Also please tell me if this system would handle demanding graphics and animation programs and games:
Core2Duo 2.3 GHZ CPU (bus 1333, 4 MB cash) - Gegabyte P35 Motherboard with built in Sound- 3GB DDR2 Ram (Bus 800) - Nvidia 8500 GT Display Card (with 512 mb DDr2 acual memory) - 2X500 GB Seagate Hard Drives - 18X DVD RW Drive - 480 Watt 12V ATX 2.1 Power Supply - 500Kev UPS .
Does any item of this configuration need to be enhanced or replaced? or Is it good enough? or maybe too good and one some of its constituents couldbe replaced with cheaper units and still work? Thanks .

I have comcast. And if you know about comcast there is a box that they hook up 2 ur tv and that is where you turn ur cable on and off. It has red and yellow lights on it. Yesterday I moved it from under my tv 2 on the side. In order to do that the cords had to be unpluged. Right away it cable was fine but later on in the day it got really choppy. The picture was blurry and the words was choppy. I checked the other tvs in my house and they are ok. So i am assuming that this has to do with what I did. I tired adjusting the cables again and yes i did put them back in the right places.

Did i do this when i moved the box?

How can I fix it?

I am rather amazed have these companies patented these formats and licensing them to other companies??.

While others such as LG and Samsung are coming with players supporting both formats.

Then people will only buy players supporting both. and wont that take away the sale frm both Sony and Toshiba.

Till now which is successful?

I want to see if its worth buying a PS3 or an HD DVD player. If a Blu-ray disc player can read HD DVD, then choice is simple PS3 if not then, I'd rather go with what ever is cheaper.

I'm currently trying to view a convenience store surveillance tape, in order to catch sight of a fight that broke out recently. Because of the four-screen setup, it is difficult to see much of anything on a regular VCR, for the screens are combined poorly, unless I watch screen-for-screen with the pause button. This process is verrrrry lengthy. Is there any way I can set up my VCR/TV to separate the tape into its original four-screens?

I have one of those cheap $15 computer microphone, and a computer 2 speaker system that runs on batteries or DC power. Both end in a male mini stereo jack.

Is it possible to connect the mic directly to the speaker and use as a loud speaker system? I don't want to bring the laptop or PC along.
