I bought another dvd recorder (LG), but I need to go back and finalize some the old dvd's I recorded on the lite-on> By the way, this is my second lite-on (I have a 1107 recorder) and these machines are junk---do not buy lite-on!!!!!

Dear Bill, I am not sure I understand your response. Every disc put in machine is read as "invalid disc". What do you mean by "LED" is done for? And of course I will not buy another Lite-on dvd recorder and I hope that I stop others from making my same mistake and wasting their money!!!!! Thanks for writing, though!!!

What Bill want to say is you to see if the laser LED is lighting red and if there are some adjustments so you can increase the power of laser LED.The adjustments are near the lens.Your problem is that your DVD has a weak LED and you must increase the power on it.But is only a short time solution, the LED will broke in about a month.

does it read and written discs?
no
then the LED is history.
u may be able to increase the output if there is an adjustment for it, but that just prolongs the agony.

Take your own advice - don't buy another Lite-On
