I am going to be going on vacation soon, and my digital camera goes through many batteries. I only use my camera for special events and don't really mind buying a couple of batteries now and then. But on vacation, I want to take many pictures, and its gonna cost me an arm and a leg to get all the batteries i need. Not only that, I don't know how many I will use, and I'll either end up getting too many or too little.
I was looking at these rechargeable ones. Can someone please explain these to me? I heard that Li-Ion is the best, but since my camera has disposable batteries, those are gonna be hard to get ahold of.
And are these NiHM batteries good? Would be it better if i got these instead of buying regular digital camera batteries?
Thanks soo much =D

My laptop is currently set to region code 0. I tried to play a region code 1 dvd, but my laptop asks me if I want to change the region code. When I clicked no, the dvd ejected. Isn't region code 0 all regions, meaning that any dvd player should be played by my laptop?

On two different discs, so I don't think it's the disc, rather than the player, it has gotten just so far and stopped. I turn off the power, turn it back on, and select the option for scene selection. But when I find the place I think it left off and select it, it just whirrs the disc but does not start playing. What's going on?

I want to use my gamecube, it's US voltage but im in asia using 220V, so I need a transformer, I know the transformer is 100 watts but I want to make sure I can use it on that extension cord before I plug it in and short circuit the power. I looked at the extension cord for any electric consumption indicators: On the label it says "110V/240V 13amp 2500w"

It is a 4plug extension cord, the other 3 plugs are used, they are being used for: A Stationary Phone, A TV, and a DVD player

Thanks for your help

I have a battery operated shaver that requires 2 AA batteries. It is NOT a rechargeable shaver, so you just put in 2 AA batteries for it to work. Suddenly, the shaver just stopped running, even with new batteries.

What could be wrong with the shaver? Is it the motor?...how long do motors last? Should I open up the shaver's housing?

I'm not bringing it to a repair shop because they charge too much to fix things.

I'm starting college later this month and am looking for a tape/ voice recorder to supplement my note-taking in class.
Some important qualities:

* Good enough to withstand typical college career use at a reasonable, budget-conscious price
* Preferably digital so I don't have to hassle with tapes
* Not a battery-eater
* Good recording quality of voices from, say, a 2nd or 3rd-row seat (the greater the *good* recording range, the better)

Any suggestions, particularly from person experience, would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Keep in mind that this is a tower, nothing inside it yet, and that it it primarily steel
