There were vhs tapes and tapes called beta but I can't remember what the disc player was called. The disks were big like a record album and they didn't catch on for long because they would skip easily.

well i got it yesterday, came home put 5 songs on it and listemed to all of them, then i woke up to day and played one today and as soon as it was over, my phone went completely black, and none of the buttons worked...i didnt turn it off, it wasnt dead (fully charged) now every time i listen to a whole song it dose that, and when i went to record a video i tried to stop it and it froze and again none of the buttons would work the only way i found to fix these problems was to take the battery out and put it back in, i think it might be i dont have enough memory but im not sure, can some one help please!!

i have a really week signal in my house and i have a linksys wireless range extender there... i was wondering how i could make my own antenna amplifier to help boost a little bit of both, reciving and sending... i am aware that there is a legal limit and that doing this will not help as much as i think... but i would like to try it out. so if there was a way to make like a 2watt amp for the antenna that would be nice... Thanks

Why do some power plugs, mainly older ones, have a big huge box plug at the end instead of a normal, small plug? Is there a reason for this, or no? I am just wondering as to why they are like that.

I just bought this ice maker a week ago, it won't dump the ice on its own, I have to raise and lower the bar in order for it to dump the ice, and even then there are only three ice cubes coming out instead of the 7-8 it is supposed to dump.
Is there some way I can adjust it myself? or do I need to take it back?
HELP

Again, I'm trying to connect a surveillance DVR to an older TV that has only an F connector on the back, and i'm wondering if that would transfer video and/or audio correctly.... it's not that I'm cheap; rather, i face many situations where i have to convert to or from VGA, s-video, DVI, RCA, BNC....etc. Thats why I'm trying to figure out exactly what can be connected to what!

Thanks for your answers

We have a really old tv. It is a symphonic and it only has one coax cable hook up in the back. We have tried about every way to hook up the dvd player to the box and have failed. We were told to get a RF modulator and then hook the tv up to that and then hook the cable box to the modulator and then connect the dvd video and audio cables to the modulator. For some reason, the tv still does not play video or sound on the tv.

One last note...our dvd player does not have a coax hook up. It only has an S-video out socket. A coax cable does not fit in it.

Keep in mind...I am a girl. I am not up to par with todays "electro lingo". Be specific. Don't tell me to call mediacom and ask them because they walked us through it and the only result we got was no cable on the tv set. Some technical support THEY have....blah. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to know and researched some, but have not found this tech. This would seem a simplistic advance from DVD by why, who and when.

Hi, i´ve got a problem with my DVD player, as it do not recognize some file burned in a DVD with photos and videos.
I have follow this burn configuration using Nero Burning Rom 7.5.13.1:
- Data DVD
- without multisesion (only one sesion).
- ISO9660 + Joliet file system.
- files name length: level 1.
- char set: ISO 9600.
- max path deep: 8 folders.
- allow more than 255 chars in path.
- allow more than 64 chars for Joliet names.
Burn at 12x speed in a Verbatim DVD+R LightScribe 16x.
The file structure do not have a deep more than 4 folders.
All folders have names with no more than 8 chars for better visualization.
The photos have same name asigned by camera (8.3).
The videos are saved into a different folder from photos.
None folder have more than 300 files (what is more, there all have much less).
The problem is that DVD player, do not detect/recognize photos, and subfolders under some folders.
But i can access them at my PC.
Thanks you for any solution or suggestion,

It's to connect a surveillance system's DVR to an older TV, but the DVR has only BNC outputs, and the TV has only the older "cable/antenna" input. Thanks in advance for your answers...
