I would think that is an operator manual question.

believe it or not, appliances are not all created equal.

look for a switch or other means of rewiring for 110V

some of the appliances are auto ranging, near the power supply or on the appliance if a sign says 110~220 V, then its auto-ranging, which means you can safely plug it in an 110V. otherwise, use a step-up trans.
