It says I'm supposed to remove the pins from either side of the watch band; after removing the extra links, I should be able to wear the watch comfortably. I've been having trouble, and any little bit of info on this helps, thanks.

Hi
I've seen some really cheap DVD recorders in ASDA and would really like one - but am concerned that I will 'get what I pay for' and that it will not work. Has anybody got any experience with cheap DVD recorders from anywhere, whether positive or negative.
Also, what features will I be missing out on with a cheap one (I know nothing about how they work). Is there a particular feature I should make sure it includes, even if I pay more for it.
Just in case it makes a difference, I want to record films/programmes from Sky at home.
Thanks all.

It is basically a movement to eliminate AT&T's exclusive rights to the IPhone... So Verizon & other companies can also have the I phone on their network.

You can sign the petition at http://www.freetheiphone.com/

It may not seem like much.. but look at it this way,
What if computer companies started making computers that only worked with Roadrunner? Or could only access the internet through AT&T's dsl?
Or Tv's that could only work with Direct Tv satalite?

The list could go on, but the question really is, should manufactures of products be able to dictate how that product is used once it becomes the propery of the consumer?

I got a mail from sky saying sky had ben in touch to say I couldn't list it as it infringes on thier coyright and may be a pirate etc etc. But it is genuine and I have now removed all wording but I don't hold out much hope for it not to be pulled again so it looks like I will be £75 down as because I opened the box ASDA wont allow me to return it.

I wrote to the sky vero programme and they just said supply them with item number but because beay had removed it, it no longer had an item number, so i relisted, sent them the new item number and never got an email back. SO any ideas please???

I'm moving back home to the UK and I want to take a few small electrical appliances with me. Can the plug-in end be changed from North American plugs to UK plugs? My appliances have that dreaded third "grounding" prong, so the plug-in adaptors I just bought won't work :(

erm, i've been looking into making a homemade switcher for these types of plugs, or possibly a multi port, or just an adapter, does anyone have a pinout for conversions between these, especially the ones concerning one of them and the vga cable? i'm trying to use my monitor as a tv, but dont feel like buying a vga to svid or color port or composite cable when I could just make one. I do know basic electronics and can solder proficently, so you dont have to dumb down your answers. Mainly, I need to know how to converte the red, green and blue pins in the vga to a composite feed, or to the odd wires in s-video(havn't worked with those yet, but my system switcher supports em). any help is appreciated.

I want to be getting good tv reception and ontop be getting other waves. We live next to the city and there are hundreds of satellites. Some people are able to capture some of this using their tv antennas thus they see extra channels free. How is it done? Also, which is the best wire to use for my tv antenna? How does it look?
