MP3 players have usually a single main integrated circuit for all digital media decoding. It is called a DSP, or media player.

An mp3 player is much like a computer there is a boot rom usually this is a small chip and is flash based and then there is storage this can be flash based or hard drive based depending on the MP3 player model.

sound like what u are looking at is the pc board. That contains components connected together with the copper.

with the state of integration there is probably only one processor on it with others switches.

if it just got wet, let it dry REAL good and it may come back to life. put it into a warm oven or just leave it in the sun for a couple days.
