S-video is not exactly the best way to connect your PC to your TV.

Most probably your TV has only an RF input.
So you will need an RF modulator. Some of them have an S-video input, if not, you will also need a small S-video to Composite video adaptor. All available at Radio Shack or similar stores.

If your TV has a composite input (yellow plug), then you just need an S-video to composite adaptor.

You need to use something like http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002JFNQU/ref=pd_cp_e_2/104-1786919-1771150?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_r=1WB5FXMRTCXM2E10FVYG&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=250314601&pf_rd_i=B0009EXWQQ . It converts the s-video and headphone plug to and RCA plug, which is used on most TV's.
