Im looking to buy a new DVD player my current player (Bush - ive had it ages) has problems reading new DVDs with copyright protection). I have thought about a DVD recorder, which one should I buy? (I know ill have to pay more for a recorder)

I live in the UK by the way.

If you hunt around, you should be able to track down a Sony RDR-HXD560 for around £200-£250. This has an 80gb hard drive and Freeview built in.

It is one of the better budget DVD recorders on the market, and a whole world better than the nasty plastic things you get at Argos or your local supermarket.

Go for one of the economy models Phillips. If u find Magnavox (a value-for-money brand from Phillips), that;s even better.

we've got an amuseer, it's a brilliant little thing and only cost £20!

i picked one up from asda last year about £25.00 not had a problem with it yet,and it plays allsorts if you get my drift..
also in uk.
