home phone/catv wiring?

can someone tell me which is better or if they can be equally used for mounting a phone line/cable tv inside a wall, a metal or plastic gang box?

doesn't matter.
either will work
since it is not AC voltage u really don't need either.
they make clips which squeeze the wallboard and u screw the cover into it.
