I-pods are a product of Apple thats all, they are mp3's really !! :)

The price you can buy a decent MP3 player for much less than an I-pod which are made by Apple and are just a trade name which is what you're paying for. Go to www. Audio-Mania.co.uk or www.misco.co.uk for some good prices. Hope these help

i-Pod is a brand name for a MP3 player, there are many MP3 players and i-Pod is just one of the ones that are available.
its like asking whats the difference between a Mondeo and a car.

An iPod is an MP3 player.
Many companies make MP3 players (Sony, Aplle etc), iPod just happens to be the best known due to its great marketing from Apple.

An I-pod cost more and very difficult to change the battery plus you need a program called I-Tune to load songs on your i-pod.

I think i-pods have an actual hard disc, as most standard MP3 players are flash type memories, if you drop your i-pod while it is playing it could get damaged as a MP3 would most likely not.

An ipod plays mainly mp3 and m4a, it will not play any other format.
mp3 players can generally play just mp3 and wma.
