Liable to be your LNB that is on the way out. A new one from Amazon costs about £12 and takes minutes to fit on the dish. Just be careful not to move the dish.

Had the same problem, carried out the mentioned repair. No problems since.

I had a similar problem with my sky plus which affected recordings also. I got on the phone to them and they talked me through a few procedures none of which worked until they sent an engineer around and he swapped my sky box for a new one. It's fine now so I would insist on getting an engineer down to change the box. I was told that my box was fine also prior to the new one.

Mine was the same as dutty, they kept telling us over the phone to press this,go to that.. it didnt work so i kicked off and they said they would get an engineer out. When he came out he said it was the box because they had a problem with a particular model. So if you have the white box with blue lights and a curvy design model, thats the one thats faulty and he gave us a new one(different design) and no probs since.Might be worth telling them you know there is a fault with a particular model.

Sounds like a signal problem but could be the box. Dish could be out of alignments or lnb faulty. It needs checking with another sky box via your service provider. good luck
