Land line or mobile phone

At one time it was possible for others to listen to your cell phone and/or cordless phone conversations. Is this still possible? I know someone who got caught cheating when he was on his cell phone in his driveway and his wife was going to make a call in the house and heard him. (oops) But seriously - are our conversations private on both cell and cordless phones - does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

I want one that spells the name of my business. I do not care about city or location as it will be a second line that won't be used much.

Some time you get a miss call on your land line or on cell phone from a number you don't recognize. How you can tell if the caller was calling from a land line or from a cell phone.
