yes - if ur in the uk and have broadband then you could get a tesco phone that goes into a usb port on your computer - good luck xx

As far as im aware you will still need to pay BT for the line rental which is around £30/month. then the provider (NTL, Powergen etc) will send you the actual bill, but the internet phone is a good idea!

Yes, Absolutly, Their are many Networks you can use... BT is the most popular...if your in the UK. NTL is a popular network to be on although is quite a stressful network to be on when problems are encountered although they are very rare..although a big problem with NTL is the fact that they seem to add £20/£30 onto your bill out of sheer randomness

I use Talktalk and don't pay anything to BT. Broadband, all UK phone calls, calls to many countries abroad and line rental are included in the standard chargs.

NTL or TELEWEST (depending on what area you live) can install phone lines - their bills tend to work out cheaper than BT as well.

As B.T. own the original land lines, I think you will have to rent a line from them, no matter who you get the phone etc. from.

have you tried ntl they have offers on if you get broadband and have a computer modem through them then it all comes cheaper but it depends where you live
