Or it could be that the timing of the lines between you and whoever you are talkin to is off. If thats the case you will hear yourself echo into the phone line. It is caused by the telephone Trunks (Lines that run between telepone companies) they are put trhough a device called a multiplexer and it sends your signal over the line a certain Time intravel (TDM Time Domain Multiplexer) some times the timeing gets messed up and you hear that echo.

Usually that happens with long distance phone calls. Whenever I'm talking to someone who is in a different province, or country, my voice always echoes.
But if it echoes even when your talking to someone nearby, then maybe your phone needs to be fixed or something..

I could be a bad phone or you're on a speaker phone...also sometimes broadband phone do that too...I got one...and have an "echo" at times!

Happens to me too, mostly on cellphones. I think it has something to do with the satellite.

Maybe they put it on speaker phone. or someones just talkin to loud.
