You need to call your phone company and tell them you want a long distance block on your phone and then they will give you a code. So, when you get the code when your kids try to call long distance it will just be a long beep. When you want to call long distance as it makes that beep you enter the code and the call will go through. My parents had one because me and my sisters used to run the bill up when we lived at home. Hope this helps.

Hi David S
All you have to do is call cable and they give you a digit numbers and that locks your phone, they charge you £10 for this. Saves you heaps on the phone bill tho

get a pin number from your local service provider. I know we program them up for the people here at the base so they can make official longdistance call.
