I have a BT phone line in my office (residential not business line), I am wasting hours each day answering the phone to morons trying to sell me rubbish I don't need. I need my phone line and I need the number I currently have, but I am wasting too much time answering calls from idiots that want to talk to me more than I want to talk to them. My reaction to this is getting ruder and ruder as my frustration grows. I already have caller display and ignor the no number calls; but I keep getting the same idiots phoning. I want to be able to 'block' certain (non-local) numbers so they can't call me any longer, is this possible and how do I do it?

I need some help....tried speaking to BT but just keep getting passed from pillar to post!

Ive got my home hub and main telephone plugged into a microfilter and then plugged into the phone socket. However with the two of them plugged in together i cant get a dial tone on my phone....if i unplug the home hub from the microfilter my phone works fine!
BT cant seem to find a problem and ive been on the phone to them constantly for 3 days! has anyone else had any problems like this?

Someone is calling my home phone, nearly once every day and then hanging up when I answer, I suspect this might be a private number. so i was wondering does anyone know how to find out what the number is, by the way please dont give me something like 411 or *69 in america, cos i live in australia so give me australian codes ..

I think my home telephone wiring is star connection. After opening the jack from 1 room I found blue and white colour wire loop is hooked on to the jack and black & yellow wire is left free. Now from here I have to extend it to another room internally. What wire and what all things I should use & how can I extend it to another room.

it is not solid, though it should be solid green, it is orangeor red and blinking and when i want to dial, at first a weired tone appears (something like toot toot toot) then the normal tone and then i can dial normaly, what is wrong with it? or is there anything wrong anyway? is this normal?

I signed up for Blue Casa home phone serivce 10 days ago and my phone is still not working. The line that I had before in my apartment worked fine before I switched to Time Warner about a year ago. I have been checking for the last 10 days and Bue Casa says that the installation is complete but the I still have no dial tone. They say they will be out to check it out on the 22dn of March but I am wondering if there is anyone out there using them and how there service is?

Okay, so I get Vonage 3 days ago. Now my phone dosen't dial out nor does it recieve calls! This is horrible! I don't know what is going on. Then I have this equipment I need to connect and that is not working because I don't understand the instructions! I don't know if my phone is disconnected or not...I have no dial tone and I can't get intouch with their wacky customer service.......any one had the same experience? What actions did you take?

I currently have Verizon with AT&T long distance but am really not happy with them for several reasons. Are there any other companys avaible in Maryland? I have to use a land line/dial up internet line because there is no other option. We're to rural for anything else.
