it is not solid, though it should be solid green, it is orangeor red and blinking and when i want to dial, at first a weired tone appears (something like toot toot toot) then the normal tone and then i can dial normaly, what is wrong with it? or is there anything wrong anyway? is this normal?

Go to the Vonage.com website and check on the installation procedures. You should have the steady or blinking green light. You can also call Vonage 24/7 and ask a tech as well. They've always been good at answering my questions.

You have a voice mail message! That's what the stuttered dial tone and flashing orange line one light on the Vonage device means.
