I have two phones, a wireless and a regular. Both have caller ID windows. The phones both quit ringing. I have dial tone. Can call out and receive calls. Have tried unplugging phones separately. Have DSL w/phone line modem, works fine.
Tried both phones, a phone at a time, in both jacks. Replaced batteries in regular phone(old batteries tested as still having lotsa juice). Phone calls come in; if we see the Caller ID window light up we can answer the phone. Transmission is fine. Both ringers are turned on. Verizon wants $91 to come out and check it. Verizon sez that line tests fine, prob is in house. Phones ring fine in other houses.
Help! (Thanks!)

You know, the lady that comes on and says "at the beep, it will be seven forty pm and 35 seconds. *beep* " I knew it, but modern computers have made me forget. I don't want a time website - just the phone number.

I have a Panasonic KX-TG2356 cordless phone gifted to me. When I try to call out, it says : Nolink to Base. Move closer to base:
I placed it right next to the base with no result.
I tried to re-register the handset as suggested but get an error message

I'm always concerned about some fool listening in on a scanner or something, so I stick with digital. I have nothing to hide but the thought of being heard bothers me. Or am I just paranoid? So ahain do most people buy analog, digital, or most don't know the difference and buy a $25- phone?

I was wondering if there was a simple free program I can use to dial phone numbers and receive calls on my computer. I want to do so by using my home phone line (connecting the phone line to the computer) I tried Hyperterminal and it worked fine as far as dialling went but receiving calls wasn't that simple...so I'm looking for something simple..thanks..

We've had Comcast Cable--good but too pricey.
We can't get AT & T at our place--which other economical service do you recommend?

How much does it cost to add Caller ID to a Verizon land line phone service? I know it probably varies slightly by area, but I'd like some idea. If you have it please post your area and how much you pay. Thanks.

I've tried plugging in different phones and plugging the phone cable directly to the phone rather than through the modem but the phone is totally dead each time. It was working fine, this is a recent problem. Any ideas?

I'm sick of AT&T. Their customer service is horrible and their DSL service is spotty. I want to move phone service to a new company. Verizon doesn't offer service in my area (San Jose/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area). Does anyone have a recommendation for a good company that offers both phone and broadband? Thanks!

My manual got wet when we were struck by a strong typhoon (it flooded our area). I still haven't set up our cordless phone because i cannot find a free manual in the internet. I hope someone might know where to find a free downloadable manual. Thanks in advance.
