Bridgwater in Somerset has an area code of 01278, whilst Harlow in Essex is 01279. I used to think that it was in alphabetical place name order, with Brighton being 01273, but Harlow has cocked that theory up. What system did British Telecom originally use to number them?

I switched to cable phone service a few months ago. At that same time, I started getting a radio station in pretty badly on my phone. One time I even unplugged the power cord of my modem, but left my phone connect in there. The line went dead but instead of the normal dead silence, the radio station came in clear as day.
I looked the station up, they are not all that close to me.
The cable company says that they can't do anything about it. They say it's my phone (phone is less than a year old and this was not happening with regular phone service). The cable company also says they will charge me quite a bit of money to even come out.
What can be done about this? What could have happened?

THere is a number that I forgot, it's like a Hotline that says the person who gave you this number does not like you very much or something like that.

They say it is because we have an unlimited package and they do not detail calls unless you pay A LOT of money for the package that has calls paid by the minute.
The only way we can get phone records from them is if it is court ordered.
Anyone else think this is bad or is just me?

Every time I try to make a call I have to redial about 3 times cuz I keep getting error messages, funny beeps, etc. Is it my phone or is it Talk Talk? This is especially true when I'm trying to use the free international calls.

Basically, our church has a prayer chain where someone calls the pastor, then he calls the next on the list to repeat the message. I want the pastor to be able to call a number, leave a message and then have that message repeated to a pre-programmed list of numbers on the prayer chain. Any help would be appreciated.
