Basically, our church has a prayer chain where someone calls the pastor, then he calls the next on the list to repeat the message. I want the pastor to be able to call a number, leave a message and then have that message repeated to a pre-programmed list of numbers on the prayer chain. Any help would be appreciated.

There is software that does this, but it costs quite a bit of money as it is marketed towards telemarketers rather than users with innocuous intentions!

Might I suggest using a free conference call system instead? Tell everyone on the prayer chain to call the conference system and enter a specific 3 digit room code at a set time, i.e. 9pm weeknights and all of the callers will be linked together. Everyone could be led in a group prayer by the pastor and they all could be given the opportunity to add their own concerns and celebrations to pray for which is something a recording could not do. Most everyone has cell phones with free nights and weekends and free long distance these days which makes a system like this work really well. Here's an example of a free conference call system:

Pick you own 3 digit room number that you'll give to everyone, lets say 772. Everyone who calls and enters that code will be linked together. It's free provided you have free long distance or that number is a local call for you. You can read more about it here: http://www.freeconcall.com
