Comcast told me they'd have service in my area (western Michigan)..ain't here yet. Said they'd have it where they'd charge $33 for each in internet, tv, and telephone at unlimited long and short distance. I pay AT&T about $63 for their service of unlimited short and long distance. Anyone have Comcast tele? Any problems?

I have never had a landline phone or home-internet before and I am trying to find out where I can get the cheapest - and most reliable- line rental so I can work out how much it will cost me- currently I spend £5 to £8 a week on the internet in internet cafes.

Ok our family just got our phone turned back on and me and my boyfriend have been talking for hours(10hrs at the most.) Now he is long distance so I can't call him. So he calls me via his cellphone. Now will it cost anything on my part, if he calls me? Because the reason we lost our phone the first time was because my sister called too many people and the bill was high. I just don't want to get in trouble and end up losing the phone again. Please help me.

Our number is on the "do not call list" but sometimes these foreigners still call. We tell them not to call but they do not listen. Any advice would be appreciated.

Currently have an NTL phone (and analogue TV box) which is now owned by Virgin media. I want to reduce my monthly call costs but dont want any extras (broadband, mobile or extra tv packages) and I also want to retain my phone number.

Can I transfer this number to a VOIP provider (and use my digital roam phone handset)? I am not bothered if I lose the tv box.

Any other suggestions gratefully received, cant afford my current bill !

They claim to be calling from Australia, sometimes New Zealand, though the callers have a heavy Indian accent. Is this considered harassment and can we file a complaint with the police regarding this matter?

I even called uniden and they said just reboot everything and I said ok and I did that well guess what it didn't fix the problem. I went to the global settings feature to make sure the call waiting was turned on it was. When i hit the flash button it does not flip over. I need help and thought maybe someone out their can help me. I do not know if you will need the model number but it is TRU9480 series.

In the last couple of years I found my cordless phone dead too mant times. I understand the need for a computer, and to a lesser extent a cell phone for outside. BUT I guess I'm going backwards in land line phones. I now use a cordless phone in my bedroom, a CORDED phone for living room and another CORDED one in the house. I bought a GE Trimline 210= $20 2 yrs ago and same model last month. It seems I bought this same exact phone 30 or 35 yrs ago.
True you have to stay right there to use it, but has anyone ever heard the clarity and loudness of these? AND I did solve my problem. May even come in handy when there's no electric.

going with TalkTalk? if you are thinking of it because of the low price ....... DON'T DO IT!!! we did and had months of absolute grief and no service at all and it took time to get back with BT.

TalkTalk had no idea of what they were doing at all and we wrote to the managing director and got no reply, it cost us a fortune using our mobile phones to make calls - our Son had the same trouble and is now taking them to court over it.
They might as well advertise that it's a penny for life because you get nothing from them.
