You can google the number-put it in this format 900-555-1212. You have to use the dashes. Or you can try reverse lookup, offered through several different sites, but you may not find either of these through those ways if it is an adult phone number.

You should be able to get an itemised bill from your telephone provider which will show the date and time of the calls.

This will give you evidence that the calls are being made and if your housemate was in at the same time it could be them making the calls.

You can also ask your provider if they offer a service to bar premium rate calls.

you can inhibit the use of your phone to these adult lines. Contact your service provider and ask for advice. If you have a list of these numbers (from 1471) then it is easier. Alternatively unplug the phone and lock it in a cupboard when you are out.

Call your landline service provider and ask them who the numbers belong to and when the calls were made. This should help you identify who is making the calls. Good Luck!

Any 09 nrs are suspect. Phone your supplier and ask them to cancel all nrs starting with 09. We had the same problem and asked them not to allow any nrs like that through. No problems at all now.
