Our number is on the "do not call list" but sometimes these foreigners still call. We tell them not to call but they do not listen. Any advice would be appreciated.

pick up the call. say no thank you, ask them to remove you, if the do not, turn them in!

If you are on the Donotcall list then from what I understand the ONLY people that are allowed to call are Local and that means -- Organizations only, and State Government campaigns. Just tell them no and ask them - to plz do not call. These are for 'charity' to to sell and so I think there is a grey area.

Yes it can be very annoying, If the keep talking AFTER you said no, CLICK
THAT IS ALL U NEED TO DO!

Add your telephone number to the National Do Not Call Registry, and each call you answer ask the caller "Who is calling" (get the company name) and the CID (caller ID from your phone). Then visit

https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

and submit a complaint against the company. If it is a 'survey' company and they claim they don't have to follow the Do Not Call Registry tell them that you follow it and to remove you from their list, then hang up.

If the survey company has an actual CID number, report them too.

Be wary of free prize draws and the like, these often give companies the right to call you for a one in a zillion chance of winning.

If it's an overseas number, typically these won't have caller ID, and many phone companies offer a service to block calls with no ID.

If there is a caller ID, report it on the FTC donotcal.gov web site.

No caller ID, but they identify the company? Report in on the donotcall.gov web site.

If they don't tell you who they are, then they stink as telemarketers.

Anyway, in the end, there is little you can do other than hang up.

I always said " No hablo Ingles" which means I don't speak English so they are the ones that hangup on me, this one really works.

Sometimes I ask them "Can you hold on for a second" and forget about them while I keep doing was I was doing before they interrupted me and they eventually hang up.

Sign up on the National Do Not Call List.

Also, when they call you can tell them to take you off their list. They have to comply by law.

I tell them that for $200, cash in hand paid, they will not get reported to the government, which will cost them over $1000 in fines. That usually does it.
