I am looking for a VOIP provider in India who will get me a Indian phone number. Most of provider I found only let you dial out, or provide numbers from other country.

I am looking for Indian phone number so my friends from India can call me. Some of them are not technology friendly. I was kind of thinking that it's still illegal and I can find lot of companies providing outgoing lines from India.

as far as i know, voip is banned by the govt of india for domestic purposes... i remember watching a news article where some ppl were arrested for using voip equipment at a domestic setup...
if you need a voip connection for a business you'll have to go in for an iplc (international private leased circuit) line...
check with vsnl - they should help out

The best one right now for both individuals and companies, from my experience is voipfibre. I have used voipdiscount, actionvoip, skype, but nothing provides better customer service and cheapest rates. Go with this one,
