If I go with a sleek/slim Kodak EasyShare 7.1 digi camera, which would be the best 1GB secure digital card to go with it?

The camera is for vacations,friends,etc....
Any viewpoints on my camera choice as well would be welcome. THanks in advance to all.

I am totally new to the SLR world and would like to buy a digital one and learn how to use it.
Is Canon 400D a good one? Or 30D? or 350D? I had a look at dpreview.com and got even more confused.
I don't want to spend more than £500.

and it makes the funny kerplunk noise indicating that the two are connected but the little window that pops up asking me how I want to load them on the computer isn't appearing. What is another way I can find a way to load them?

i want to buy a good digital camera 5-6 megapixels(or more) and a screen that is about 2.5 inches and i prefer it 2 b then...... and takes good picture in motion, out of motion in darkness and in light but i want it under $150.... is that possible if so then what is it called and where can i buy it for a cheap price

My photos are convex from long storage and need help to get them flattened out. Tried heavy weights on a small stack at a time but didn't do the job. I got one answer under Hobbies/Crafts that I may try unless you have a simpler way,meantime, is there some catagory for photography I might get more response to my question under it. I tried it under consumoer/electornics-camera and no "photography catagory there either.But here I am in that catagory again as no other choice. I need help!

Ok I have a kodak easy share c330. The camera comes on but the light turns red and the screen goes blank. I have tried putting new batteries in the cam but it still does the same thing. I have had this cam for about 6 mths and this has never happened. can someone please give me advice or trouble shooting techniques in order to fix this problem.... thanks in advance

I leaning towards either camera.. but it bugs me that the xti is an 'improved' xt.. But they still sell both.. Is the XT still a legit prosumer camera? Will it give me similar results or will it be outdated soon? I'm a professional retoucher and looking into doing my own photography for artistic purposed.. I just got this camera, and before I loaded any film in it I was playing around with it and it was working fine - the battery indicator was that the battery was fine and charged. Then, when we put the roll of film in, it loaded it and wound on, but then immediately said the battery was dead. We did this twice, and the batteries worked in between the two tries and before the first try. This also happened to my sister's camera (same model, but she just got a new one) so I'm thinking it has to be a common problem. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
