I took a roll of film to be developed and the developed pictures look like i am looking at a negative. Is there anything i can do to fix this? This roll of film is very imortant to me.

How do the negatives look? If they look all orangey like color negatives are supposed to look just go get your prints done over. If you hit the paper with light before it is fully developed (or midway through developing), it will reverse color like that. They may have done something wrong when they were printing them.

If the "negatives" look like normal colors, then they are on slide film. You can have prints made from slide film, too.

By any chance... were you using slide film?
I'm sure a good photo lab can sort things out for you with the negatives. Alternatively, you could scan your prints and sort it out yourself on the computer. Most image editors flip a negative into a positive image with 1 click.

your film, is not a magnetic medium. It cannot become demagnetised
