Do you need an underwater case in order to be able to take pictures underwater? Or can you just take it in water? And if you take it in the ocean, do you need to rinse it off with tap water so the salt doesnt damage it? Im new to this camera and it was expensive, so i want to be aware.

I am under the belief that certain cameras take only so much memory. So am I wrong saying ALL digital cameras can NOT accept 4 GB, 2 GB, 1 GB memory cards?
And Morey000, liked your old picture better, lol.

I tired of using disposable cameras so I decided that I want to invest in a digital one now. I need a camera that have these four things

1. At least 6 mega pixels
2. At least a 2 inch preview screen
3. $200.00 or less
4. A well known brand (for ex: Sony, panasonic, Kodak, etc) ...a brand that I can trust.
(NO POLARIODs PLEASE)

Again I'll say that I'm a first time digital camera user, but and then again...I'm not technologically challenged, I know the basics and more about computers and I could easily catch on using one....so don't submit a little kid camera.

I just need a good quality camera that takes decent pictures. I've been looking at these that I'm interested in lately please take a look at em

Thanks

Is it possible to see the landscape through the LCD monitor when shooting with a Sony Alpha DSLR-A100 10.2 Megapixel, SLR, Digital Camera with Sony Zoom DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 Lens? I got this camera but do not how to use it. To start with, I would like to know how to set it so I can use this feature instead of looking through the viewfinder.

... Emerson makes them and seems to sell them through only two online (or off line) outlets - nickjr.com or bestbuy.com, but both say they are out of stock, so I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can obtain one new or used by Friday. I even checked Emerson's web site. It's for my son's birthday.

I'm REALLY leaning towards the Leica.. They're just cool. Although I realize that the Panasonic is almost identical. Is it worth the extra $ for th Leica? The Leica seems to have a great re-sale value.. Is it worth it though?

my price range is max at $350. I want something that is easy to use, takes good clear pictures...even in the dark, something that can take video (preferably as much video as I want not something that only gives me a certain amount of minutes at a time) I would like something that has a good memory and battery so I don't have to worry about it dying on me, but if that requires a seperate purchase i don't mind. Thanks in advance for any help

I was wondering if the camera could be charged while it is connected to the computer?

I don't want to have to unplug my USB cord and have to attach it to the wall adapter every time.

Thanks,
Sam

Just bought a digital camera for the first time and ive never used one before. I know if used right a digital camera can generally make you look better, but so far the pictures i've taken havent been that flattering and I look a lot better in real life. So anyone got any tips?

I am going to buy a new camera this weekend, and I was wondering a couple of things:
a) does anyone know of any big sales going on?
b) can anyone recommend any good cameras on sale for around $200 that are good with online scrapbooking programs?
c) I'd like to be able to use this as well at night, and I want it user friendly...not a lot of buttons, and hard to figure out. Also I would like a zoom lens.

I currently have one of the old Olympus Colored cameras that were popular a few years ago. It is still a good camera, but it is becoming harder and harder to find parts for it, I had to order a battery charger from the website, and it took forever to find it on there. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm planning on purchasing a camera and was first looking at the Rebel XT.. Then I saw the Leica D-Lux 3 (cool looking camera). I want manual control over the camera for creative purposes and also RAW image capture. Just a solid camera. I don't see myself spending alot in lenses etc.. So I'm not sure the Rebel is worth getting (especially size). Would the Leica offer creative flexibility? Excellent pics? Do I NEED to get a DSLR for creativity? Opinions? (I know about the Panasonic version of this camera, It's pathetic but I like the Leica logo)
