Get a Kodak Easy Share, they really affordable, and not too advanced. You can get the model with the larger screen as well. A good starter camera.

Both Kodak and Vivitar have "starter" cameras for around $150 or less that have a larger screen and "look cool". Just for a point of general interest, there are three grades of digital cameras. The "consumer" class view finder type in the $350 and down class, the "prosumer" class DSLR cameras in the $1000 and down class, ( my current favorite is my Pentax - in the $700 range though I got mine for $500 due they just came out with the newer model), and the "professional" class at $1000 and up - way up in some cases.

Canon power shot A 550. I think it has a 2" screen, and it only cost about 150.00 so you will have $ left over for a larger memory card.
I think there are other power shots under 200.00 as well.
My wife gave me the A630 for christmas (over 200.00) but the memory card that comes with them (16MB) will not hold many pictures.

I would get a HP 6.0 MP I bought one for my wife for last Christmas and it works great. I also have an HP 3.2 MP I bought a few years ago and it's like an old timex it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. It's a little rugged camera. Our daughter uses it alot and it's been dropped and hit against things and it still takes a pic just as good as the day I bought it.

if you are going to buy a secondhand hi-function camera, maybe could afford one but its not recommended since almost all secondhand cameras have one or two dysfunctions. Since you're just a child, you can settle for a regular one. Don't worry you can buy anything you want once you grow up and get a good job.
