and the memory stick was IN the camera when you deleted them ..

NO, sorry. If you really want to be sure, stick the card into one of the flash card slots on your computer (if you have one), and right click on the drive icon under the my computer icon. When you click on the drive icon, select properties. A pie chart should be visible showing you how much space is on the card, and if the chart is totally blue then the card is empty for sure.

Yes, absolutely. www.cnet.com has a software download section. Try before you buy. Even erased, the images are on the memory stick until you "write" over them with new images.

There probably a Memory Recovery company do it for $50-100.

I think this do it for $15 and you have it for future use.
