between the nikon D100, D 80 or D 50 and canon rebel. or should i just stick with a high end point and shoot camera? i'm torn! i want good quality photos of my boys as they grow (ages 2 and 3) - i want to take photos quickly without the flash going off 3 times first, and the kids have already looked away. i have a sony 3.2 megapixel digital and i need to upgrade. help!

I am a novice to put it lightly with no real experience shopping for a camera.....i figured I need to get smart on this before i go to a store and get hosed for buying based on price instead of quality. AS far as i can tell it seems I can get a good camera between 150-200 am I off the mark? All recommendations welcome...thanks

i attended a very important event and i took several "once in a lifetime" photos but when i returned home and i routinely tried to transfer the pictures onto my computer the camera began to read card error and it did not show that i had my pictures on the card. all of the pictures had been formated and they had been protected before and after taken. the computer will not read my pictures and has quote possibly deleted themm..
why has this happened?
what can i do about it?
and most importantly is their some sort of technology in this world that can restore any sort of lost or deleted image files.

I'm need a new digital camera, but I don't want to spend over $200.00. I currently have a Kodak, and it's the epitome of useless. I'm trying to decide between Canon, Nikon, and possibly looking at a Samsung or Poloroid, but I'm not sure on those brands. Any imput would be great!

I don't know much about cameras so I would like to know what the best camera to get from http://www.bestbuy.com/ would be. I got the nikon coolpix L3 digi cam for Christmas, and it came with the picture project software. I installed the program, and downloaded the software update, but when I try to transfer my pics to the computer, it says it's not connected. My computer is older, and I run on WinME, but I have all the needed updates for it. There are 2 USB ports on the back of the computer, does anyone know what I can do to make it work? I have done countless hours of searching online for problems, and this is my last resort!!

Recently i have purchased a Sony DSCS500 digital camara. It has only 25MB internal memory. So i am thinking of buying an external memory card.
