My camera was left out in the car all night and it was 15 degrees. Now it says "change the battery pack" when I turn it on. Are the batteries ruined or can I try them when they warm up? Could it have ruined my memory cards? What's the likelihood of internal damage to the camera itself?

I beginning in photography and zeroed-in on A540 as it had the most features I required. (Full manual controls, at least 6MP, good quality, support for lens', 2xAA batteries, Macro mode, at least 3x zoom). But there is a problem, the camera is like a piece of molded plastic. So if there any other camera's with identical features and around the same price range, please let me know.

Owners of A540, also please give me your review on the camera and if it is good enough for learning.

Should I invest in this camera?

I have an Olympus E-500. Im having some problems (blurry pics) when taking pictures at night time in some places such as bars and clubs. Some people has told me I should change the lense because the lens that comes with the camera is F3.5 to F5.0, I should change to F2.8 to F3.5. Some other people has told me I should change the flash cuz the one that comes with the camera doesn't have a red light that focus when the shutter is pressed half way (focusing) and the results with an external flash are very noticeable. So here is the question.. should I invest on the flash (FL-36 by Olympus) or a lens (14-54 - F2.8 to F3.5)

i was using my Dad's camera and I had to use it with the charger. So, I was standing by my sink, cause I use the mirror in my restroom to see how I'm taking the picture. And the cord kept getting in the way. So, I tried to untangle it and all of sudden my camera fell off the charger cord and into my sink. There was no water in it or anything. But, now the lens won't go back in.

I don't know what to do, cause it still turns on but, it just won't show anything. I have a R507 HP Photosmart Camera.

Somebody tell me if it can be fixed! Please!

I'm new to photography and moving up from point and shoot to dslr and planning to buy a d50 which is on sale, can I use the Vibration Reduction feature of this lens for the D50 because somebody told me it might be useless on a D50. Any comment on this lens, I want a lens with flexibility. Does it worth the price or a D80 kit. Need some help please.

I want a camera with a good zoom as I like to take photo's at concerts and sometimes am in approx. 7th row back. Also take pics at stage door. My current 35 mm camera is very slow in actually taking a photo so want one that is quite fast. Would really like one that just about fits in a large pocket or small handbag. Want to spend approx £150 - 200. I have looked at CanonPowershot A710 IS and Panasonic Lumix TZ1. Still not sure what to buy. Can any1 help? Don't want one that is too complicated. Are rechargeable batteries better than normal ones? Have been advised to get camera with image stabilisation.

I've been increasingly dabbling in macro photography and am not happy with my lighting. I'm looking for the best "budget" solution out there.

All Nikon gear (but the lighting product doesn't need to be):

I've got a DSLR with a 105mm macro lens & 52mm filter size.

I've also got a 300mm zoom with a 62mm filter size and a couple close-up diopters.

I've also got the SB-600 speedlight.

I may also reverse mount my 50mm lens onto one of the above lenses, as I play around.

For macro photography of nature (e.g., flowers, bugs, leaves)... any suggestions on what "budget" route to take that might offer greatest flexibility with the different approaches I laid out above?

Thanks!
