It will cut on but after like 1 minute it will cut off and the lenses will only let out half way. I don't know how to fix it and the local camera shop just closed down. I would take it back but it was a gift and I dont have the reciept and the person just passed away!! How can I fix it? The store won't work on it w/o the proper papers!

How I got 599 photos in My Documents (this way ) I'll never know. There they are every time I click on My documents...each and every photo. My problem is when inserting each photo into folder, folder jumps to very top. I then have to bring folder down to where photos are. VERY time consuming. Not my way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a new digital still camera as well as a camcorder. The one consistent thing I read in various reviews are complaints about bad low-light performance; noisy, dark images. Why is this such a problem and how come no one has done anything about it and cornered the market? Where are digitals lacking that film isn't? Also, any reccomendations for models in the sub $1000 category are appreciated. ;-)

I'm thinking of buying a digital camera. I'm not sure what mega-pixel camera it should it be. Should I settle for a 5 mega-pixel with? I'm not planning to do much in the way of photography, just family photos and stuff, but once in a while, i do feel like taking some good pics. And u never know, a family pic might be at a great place with good scenery. So help me out here, folks!

i want to get a new digital camera and i see that ebay has some listings for very cheap (ie $0.01-50.00) for cameras that are usually very expensive. I know that prices go up as it comes closer to the auction expiery but i even found some ending today that are ($10-50). can i trust buying it for cheaper? how can people afford to sell it for so much less? and does anyone have any words of advice or experiences or anything details i should look for or by wary of?

I'm planning on buying a digital camera. Here's what the online snippet of info says, " This 4 mega pixel digital camera comes with a CCD sensor, has 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. It has a 2-inch large LCD screen and a self-timer. It has other features like built in flash, auto flash and red eye reduction. It has an in built memory of 10 MB and can be upgraded with either a Secured Digital or a Multi Media card. It comes with USB and audio-video interface connectivity. The camera comes with a set of two AA non-rechargeable batteries." I understand the rest but I'm not quite sure what the 'audio-video interface connectivity' means. Help!!

I have looked on newegg and places and I keep seeing batteries that are cheaper than Canon made batteries. I am looking at one for my 300D, and I want to know if the battery that is not Canon made will work with the original Canon BP-112/BP-111 charger.

i put 2 regular AA batteries in my digital camera and some of my family members say it could mess up the camera because these regular AA batteries have more power in them. is there any professional photographers out there who know a good bit about digital cameras? the camera i use is a sony cybershot. 4.1 mega pixels.

We have pet mice and want to take "close-ups". In your opinion, what would be a good * starter * digital camera for us to use? We are really beginners. Nothing expensive, but we want good quality at an affordable price.
Thank You in advance for your answer.

I am interested in buying a new digital camera, somthing that I can really use my "photographic abilities" on. I usually use a small Fujifilm FinePix A340 which has worked fine, but now I want more options, features, zoom, manual abilities, ect. I'm not interested in buying a small "cute" camera, I want the professional quality kind but there are so many to choose from, at so many prices. If people can send me links of the camera or just give me buying advice (which company has good cameras, ect) that would be great! The higher the quality and cheaper the price the better! Best awnser gets 10pts!

I recently purchased a Nikon D40 and its kit lens. When I place a UV filter onto the lens (which means 100% of the time), there seems to be some sort of refracting or reflection from strong light sources such as ceiling lights. For example, there's a ceiling light at the top of the frame, and there's faint reflection of that light source lower down in the frame. Very annoying as it has wrecked a few exposures already. What can I do to prevent this? I'm using a Hoya 52mm UV filter.

there are some factors I'm keeping in mind:
1. I have a very fast-paced lifestyle, I'm always out and about so I need something that can withstand a lot!!
2. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just as long as it takes good quality pictures i'm happy! ; )

I'm in desperate need of a digi so can someone plese refer me to certain brands, types, etc..... thanx!

I have a Sony Cyber Shot dsc-w70 digital camera with 7.2 mega pixles. I had recently bought it and when I played back the videos there WAS sound. But that one broke and I exchanged it for a new one (same exact model) and I can't get thesound to work. Everything else wors fine.

I looked in the manual maybe I just don't know that to look for in the index.

I played around with the camera and there's nothing I can do in the settings.

Are there any new Sony Digital Cameras that still take Memory Stick Pro and not the Duos? I have a 2gb stick and I don't want to have to buy another memory stick.
