Your best bet is to log on to Sony's website and look for either an authorized Sony service center or contact them directly about sending it back to Sony directly for repair.

There is no "easy" fix for this type of problem. It could be a bad circuit board, memory card, or something entirely different. It is of little use to try and do a do-it-yourself type of repair.

Keep in mind that any service center is going to charge you a fee (usually around $50) just to diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed you are almost certainly going to get charged more for the actual repairs (parts, labor, etc). This assumes that the camera is no longer covered by the warranty, if that's not the case then you shouldn't be out more than the cost of shipping to and from Sony.

You may quickly find that the cost to repair will be greater than the cost to replace (these cameras are selling for <$200 on the web right now). Good luck.

Camera repair requires specialized knowledge beyond that of the average person, so take it to someone who knows what they are doing, before you damage it beyond repair.

Try fresh batteries and a new memory card. An incorrectly formatted card may be your problem.
