The Fuji. Hands down. FYI, the Fuji & Kodak have the SAME optical zoom (x5). And the difference in megapixels is irrelevant. Again, megapixels don't mean squat! You only need 2.0 MP to print a quality 5x7 (whichis the largest size most people would ever make. The Fuji has 6 MP. You can print beautiful 10" x 15"s (or larger), if you wanted, and they'llbe better quality with the Fuji, as well.

All digital camera sensors have a maximum quality, and it has nothing to do with the pixels/resolution. Pixels only tell you the maximum size print you can make and still retain the sensor's maximum quality. I will trade, today, a brand new 8 megapixel camera for a used (but operational and normally functioning) 4 megapixel camera, so long as I get to pick the 4 megapixel camera in question. Why? Because I'd rather have a Nikon D2HS than a Kodak P880. Go ahead and do a search, and see what I mean.

Why is that 4.1 MP Nikon so much more expensive? First off, the sensor is much higher quality. It's also physically larger (about 8 times larger) than the average point & shoot digital camera. And the overall print quality is much, MUCH higher as well.

Now, more megapixels would allow you to get a larger print, but the quality wouldn't improve unless the sensor quality also improved.

Don't buy a camera based on the megapixels (i.e., volume). You don't buy bottled water based on the volume, you buy it based on the quality. If bottled sewage water was buy 1, get 4 free, would you buy that over the mountain spring water that was the same price, but had no special sale?

The Kodak has the most megapixels and the best optical zoom. It also uses SD memory cards that you can buy almost anywhere. Fuji uses xD cards that are kind of hard to find and more expensive because Fuji and Olympus are the only ones that use them. As for the Hewlett Packard, it's got decent specs, but there's something to be said about buying a camera from a company that specializes in photography like Kodak does, rather than from a computer company.

So, I agree with the others, go with the Kodak.

go to bizrate.com or nextag.com type in your camera choices and then read the reviews. This is a great way to see the pro's and cons of each camera. I own a Kodak and would say it's great, except in all honesty, when my kids are boxing and I want the shot... my camera seems to have a tiny delay, which is all it took to constantly miss the picture. But read the reviews and make your own choice. My camera's two years old so hopefully they corrected that flaw.

Depending on which 3 you are deciding between, I've used http://www.productcritic.com to compare between my choices and also read all the reviews on the net for these cameras.

I am sorry, but I wouldn't recommend either of those. For a much better camera, look at Canon.

Not the third one. Those hearts are tacky. The first is nicest, but the second might be the most versitile.
