In relation to the cameras, digital and optical have a zoom range of 1x to 20x or more. In layman’s term , what is the equivalent distance of 1x? is it 1x = 1ft?, or1x = 1 meter? If I need to get a better picture with a distance of 100 meters, what kind of camera must I purchase? With the same inquiry above, if I prefer a video camcorder, what are your suggestions? Thank you.

I just bought a digital vidio camera that records on to mini DVD's. It can also record to a memory stick/ SD card.

I noticed that cards vary in price say a 1Gig from $35 to $150 is there a marked difference in speed and quality for these cards ? They use terms like 100x, multi media type and various other notations. The $35 card has a lifetime warrenty so is it just a speed issue.

Is writing to mini DVD disks better than writing to SD Mem cards?

I want to take sharp shots in a gym which has low light. I bump up my ISO level to the highest (1600), I try and use the built in flash, and I try to get as close as I can to the action, and yet my pictures come out really poor like blurs, redish tint, low light areas, etc. I did try taking it all in RAW format but I do not have the time to edit all my pictures.

My question is, is Canons 28-55mm kit lens slower than normal lens (compared to other Canon f/3.5), and do I need to purchase lens with IS and a external flash unit. (I have a Canon Rebel XTi)

My mom has two digital camaras and neither really put the date on the pictures when you print them on paper. when you set up the camaras setting it asks for it but it doesnt show it. I want to know what is this called or how can i know which camaras does this? what camaras have this.

This is odd... I Was taking pictures one day, and decided to see which camera was better, and i took a picture with my Motorola Razr[1.3 Mp], and then with my digitial camera[4.0 Mp]. The Razr was better, even though the camera has more Mp!!! Why does it do that?

I need an affordable digital, High zoom. High megapixel camera to take shots of my puppies. And I need the camera to sit on a tripod and have the cord so I can stand away from the camera and trigger the shutter. Is the image stabilizer nessecary? I really don't care about the price and want a one that is reliable and I can use for a long time.

I'm talking about the part where you look at the pictures or the videos that you just took. Not the whole camera it self. I just got this digital camera for christmas and ive already scratched up the screen. What can I use or buy or possibly make myself at home in order to get the scratches off! HEELP!!

okay well i have to do this project for one of my classes and i need to save a pic on a usb drive only i dont have one. i thought maybe i would try to save it onto the memory stick that my digital camera. so i pluged in my camera and saved it into my E drive and it worked i check it and it says its saved. but i dont see it on my camera. my question is is that if i took to to walmart or where ever to print out picks would it be there? and if its not showing on my camera does that means its not really there??
