I purchases a sony camcorder from the middle east in '97 the model is CCD-TRV54E-PAL. It uses a NP-F530 battery that uses infolithium. The battery is dead so, I was wondering if I can get a battery from a store with the same 7.2v rating but it has 1800mah instead of the one that i'm using which has 1350mah, the on that i'm buying is not sony but digipak brand, but is meant for sony. It doesn't say "infolithium on the one that i'm buying.
Is " infolithium" necessary for a replacement battery, or is a giimmick of sony to buy their batteries. I was also looking at another battery meant for sony, digipak brand, which has 7.2 volt but instead of 1350mah it has 4500mah, would the high mah rating damage the camcorder, or would it make the camcorder last even longer.
By the way does mah rating, make devices last longer, or is it a higher output rating.
