My Mini DVD-R for Camcorder suddenly deleted all my recordings automatically?

Question

I was recording with a DVD-R which you cannot delete. Later, i used the Portrait Feature and then it said "Cannot Record, Stay Still". I changed it back to Auto and later i check out all my recordings and everything was gone! How did everything get deleted from a DVD-R?

Uhm...Wow I'm not sure how you did that a DVD-R is not erasable. You sure it was not a DVD-RW?
