The man at the store told me it might be grainy, or have to small a picture--I found this a little hard to believe since it is 5 megapixels. I might go back tomorrow to buy it, but I need other opinions--does anyone out there have a similar camera--what do you think? I dont really want to buy a more expensive camera as I dont use cameras very often. Thank you for your help. I appreciate all answers. Regular price is 130 dollars.

Shoot some short-films as well as a feature that will be entered into film festivals. I want a camera that will give me as professional a look as possible for an affordable price. Is this the best choice? What are some other pro-consumer cameras out there that I should consider?

Here are some of its specs,

"Sony High-Definition Memory Stick Handycam Camcorder (HDRCX7)
Top-notch high definition footage with the new Sony HDRCX7 high definition Handycam. With great features like 10X optical zoom, the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar lens and SteadyShot optical image stabilization, you'll be shooting like the pros in no time." price: $999

I would appreciate the opinions of someone who works in the industry. Thanks

Do any of you have any recommendations? books? advise on how to get started. I mean, I import a video.. and instead of it moving.. it just stays stiff while the audio still plays. O.o So, yeah.. I'm in need of some assistance...

I would greatly appreciate your attention on this. If any of you are a pro on this, how did you make it to understand the complexity of this program?
(lol, i'm usedto WMM .. so yeah, it's complex compared to that.. )

don't laugh at me.. :P

And I know the "cheapest" and the "easiest" are probably not going to be the same thing, so any suggestions at all are welcome really.

I recorded Christmas concerts and would like to figure out a way to upload them to my computer and make them available for family members to view.

My daughter spilled some milk in my Panasonic DVR V105 camcorder. It was not on at the time. I drained it, and let it dry for a few days, and when I turned it on, I had sound but no video. I turned it off and back on, now I have nada. Nothing. Acts like there is not even a battery in it. But the battery is fully charged, and I checked it with a volt meter. Is there any thing I can do for this thing? I know, take it to the shop, or send it in, but I have had it completely apart and seen nothing wrong, no fried circuit boards, nothing except the small battery looked corroded. Like a button type battery, or a cmos battery in a pc.

I am looking for a camcorder that I can use for family functions. I don't need it to do anything fancy, and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I don't really understand the differences in most of these, and see some for under a hundred dollars, and some costing over four hundred. But I don't understand the difference! Any help would be appreciated...

My camcorder won't play my tapes. There is sound but no pic. It's doing it to all my tapes so I suspect the problem is with my camera & not the tapes. It's those small tapes. Is there anything I can do? Can I somehow get them to dvd? I'm not too good when it comes to this type of problem so any help would be great. Thanks!
