I had a cheap Memorex mp3 player which I synced purchsed songs as well as ripped from CD songs to it using Windows Media player. When I connected mp3 player to computer, Windows Media player recognized it and listed as a device to sync to. Everything went smooth.

I get an Ipod nano, plug in in a USB port, and it does not even appear as a device on Windows media player, so I can't sync all those songs already on my playlist in Windows media player. I cna go back and purchase everything through iTunes again but I don't want to do that. I want to use Windows media player and the songs on that playlist to get to sync to my new iPod. Anyone else experience this? Is an ipod not capable of sharing or syncing with windoos or visa versa? Any help is appreciated.

I have a Kawasaki 5 disc dvd surround sound system and it has Audio in jacks (red and white) and my tv has Audio Out jacks. So i was told to buy RCA (red and white) audio cable to plug one into the other and i would get surround sound while watching tv. I did so and i dont get any audio throught the surround sound speakers. Im lost and confussed b/c ive been trying to do this for some time now. I have the surround sound set on a function of AV IN (matrix, there are other options like dolby pro, music, movie, or bypass) not sure what that should be set on. The tv also has Digital audio oput options (Raw , PCM or OFF) not sure what that should be set on also. Any help would be appreciated ! Thank you

Hey i have a LCD HDTV with (1) digital coaxial output and an hdmi input. My surround sound sytem has (1) digital coaxial input and a (1) optical digital input. I currently have my ps3 connected to my TV via HDMI.

I need to know wether i should hook up my ps3 to my tv via hdmi and the tv to the surround sound using the digital coaxial, or hook up the ps3 to the tv via hdmi for video and to the surround sound system by optical digital for audio.

Which one will give me better sound and true 5.1 surround sound?

I also have my PC hooked up to my TV via VGA. If i use the coaxial digital out on my tv, wll the PC sound be surround as well?
Thnaks in advance for your help

i got a ps3 and hooked it up to my panasonic th-50px60u with 1366 x 768 resolution. i thought it could only support 1080i so i got an hdmi cable that onlu went up to 1080i. when i went to set up my ps3 i set it to automatically find the maximum resolution my tv could support and it said 1080p which seemed impossible. later i noticed that not only did it say 1080p was the maximum for my tv but the hdmi cable was letting a 1080p signal through which it should not have. i tested it and i am pretty sure the picture i am seeing is 1080p but i don't know how its doing this. can anyone help?

We have freeview and are having a real problem with signal strength, picture on most channels shows 50% strength, but on others the signal drops and rises at randem from 70% to 0% and drives us mad, i have purchased a high gain ariel but think the problem may be directional, having looked at all the houses near, ariels are all over the place giving no local direction to point the ariel, so what is the best way to locate the optimum signal strength, and feed that signal to up to 4 tv's, help before i go mad and pull whats left of my hair out.

My son and husband both have PSP 2000. We hooked both up to wireless internet and found that my husband's PSP will navigate(we tried Yahoo and clicked on a few things)just fine. My son's PSP will bring up internet(we tried Yahoo to compare)and his PSP wouldn't let us go past the Yahoo home page. We tried the nickelodeon web site and that would come up but wouldn't show any pics or words, just boxes with red X in the corner. He wanted to go to cartoonnetwork.com also and that wouldn't come up at all. I checked to make sure the flash player was on and it is. We were near the router when we tried both. I set up both PSP's for wireless myself so I know that everything was done the same for both set ups. My husband has the Daxter PSP and my son has the Star Wars PSP. Is there a difference in the hardware for each of these PSPs? Any help would be great.

My main "home theatre" room is taken care of (mid to top level polk components and an upper end yamaha). I want to do my "family" room now, which is a large room, roughly 30' by 30', I'm not looking to engulf the entire room in sound only about a 12' x 18' section; I'm not looking for perfection just decent sound. I was considering doing it with all of polk's entry level components ( i enjoy what ive gotten from them so far) and spend the rest on the receiver but I was intrigued by HSU's enthuisist 1 package and then dumping 5-600 on the receiver. The room has a 44" LG flat screen, but will not see a lot of use, sad but true, so it need not be top end. When I want to hear/see anything special i'll do so in my other room, so this room will mostly be for sparse entertaining circumstances where I'd like good+ sound, but no audiophiles will be in attendance, so no need to knock their socks off as it were... I guess the focus of what will be played is simple soft music, frank sinatra etc,
