Is getting online with the ps3 just the same as it is with the wii? Do you just need a wireless router and then you are set to go? Is there any payment involved when getting online with the ps3?

Seems to be a problem with the most recent firmware update. I don't particualrly want to take it back, but then again I don't want to wait and risk it not being replaced by a 60G model. Anyone any advice?

I thought that the ps3 had an universal voltage. My ps3 US version support only up to 120V and in my country we use 220V~240V, is there a way to use my ps3 without breaking it ,i dont wanna try anything because i saved for 2yr before i can bought it.

I have my self a satellite reciever that has both optical (toslink) and coaxial outputs. My 5.1 channel reciever has those inputs. What cable can carry 5.1 surround to my reciever so i can get surround sound broadcasted in my living room for the football games?!!! Help!

It seems that all I have asked on here so far are PS3 questions, BUT This one is different. I bought the PS3 for my boyfriend a couple days ago. I want to get some advice on a good way to suprise him with it on Christmas.

I already wrapped it and put it in a bag so that its not obvious what it is, but what else should I do? I am pretty sure that he has no idea that this is what I got him, but just in case, I want him to think that I got something else, (without actually spending money to get a gag gift or something) so, any ideas? If this was you, how would you want to be suprised? Thanks!

I have a new LG LCD tv capable of 1080p. I have a HD DVR box from my cable company, and all of the HD programming was running at 1080i on the TV via component cables, but I bought an HDMI cable in place of the components, and now it will only do 720p via HDMI when it did 1080i via component. What am I doing wrong? I know my HDMI cable will do up to 1080p. I don't expect to get 1080p from the HDMI since the signal is not 1080p, but why would it go down to 720p when I was getting 1080i with an inferior technology?
