oh god, how shall i say this..... i have been using the same sony headphones for about 5yrs now..bought it when i was in grade 11.now i am a junior at a university n the headphones are still working fine...moreover, i am too much into music...so they r almost 24/7 with me. n still going strong!

Stax Electrostatics. The widest frequency range.The lowest colouration.The widest dynamic range. The lowest distortion. The "outside of the head" imaging.The closest approach to the original sound.The loudest sound with no distortion.But ,unfortunately,the most expensive.

Anything Japanese like Panasonic / Toshiba / Casio / Sony or whatnot. Japanese engineering = the best :D
