i play videogames a lot and i want something hand held so i can just be portable like on the bus or infront of my big tv in the living room... kitchen, etc. what is the replay value of one of these babies? am i going to beat the game in a day or are they going to be able to entertain me for a while?

Well depends on the titles, keep in mind that many of the titles are geared towards kids though. The DS (I just bought one for my 7yr old for christmas) has replayability but mainly for kids. Take a look at the titles available for the system and see if you want to play those games, if they interest you, get one, if not, then consider another hand-held.

it really depends on the games. games like brain age and brain academy are ok.. but after a month of the same thing, my video-game-ADD kicks in - i get bored.

zelda: phantom hour glass, i put about thirty hours into it, and i'm near the end

dragon quest monsters: joker, i've put 35 hours into it, and i will probably put another 30 hours or so into it

fire emblem (gba) took about twenty hours

harvest moon (both DS and mineral town (gba)) take up as many hours as you want, and both are pretty fun little games

i only spent about fifteen hours on final fantasy III, but the GBA port allows you to play final fantasies I through VI - each taking around 40 hours..

in the end, it all depends on what type of games you play
