I just bought a new digital camera and would like to purchase a battery recharger that can recharge AA batteries; so i don't have to keep buying them. What type of charger and/or battery is my best option?

Highly concur with phudgee. I got these Energizer NiMH rechargeables also, and they work great in my digital camera, outlasting alkalines 3 to 4 times longer. And then you recharge them! Why would anyone use alkalines anymore? Seriously, why would they?

When looking for an appropriate rechargeable set AA batteries, make sure that they are rated at least 2300 mAs as well as an appropriate charger with the same output rating. Otherwise, the incorrect rechargeables will simply not hold a lasting charge and will drain too quickly. I'd recommend a Lenmar PRO712 90-minute charger which charges both AA and AAA up to 2500 mAs. It sells for around $25.00 at samys.com or amazon.com.

Good luck!

I use a MAHA MH-C204W charger with MAHA Powerex 2700 mah AA batteries. This setup works so well I trashed all the Energizer, Sony and Duracell crap I have accumulated over the years. www.thomasdistributing.com

Here are links to the Charger and batteries I've been using for some time now.

They're nice because they are green, so my kids know not to throw away the green batteries....

I bought them at Home depot originally, but since then, Ive noticed Target, and Walmart both carry them as well.
